MIAMI (March 6, 2022) – On a beautiful South Florida day, the FIU baseball team dropped Sunday's series conclusion 15-0 to the UCONN Huskies.
The Huskies plated a run in the first inning and pair in the second off starter
Ryan Cabarcas to lead the series finale 3-0 after two. UCONN added six runs in the seventh and eighth innings to build their 15-0 advantage.
Robert Sotolongo and
Noel Perez paced the Panthers at the plate with the duo each collecting a base hit.
Cabarcas earned the start on the mound and pitched six innings, allowing three runs and striking out seven batters.
