MIAMI (March 29, 2017) – The FIU football program staged its annual Pro Day on Wednesday afternoon with 12 draft-eligible seniors on hand, performing several strength, speed, agility and skills tests in front of National Football League and Canadian Football League scouts and front-office personnel.

Attending FIU's Pro Day were representatives from 29 professional football organizations, including 28 NFL franchises. Those NFL teams included the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans. The CFL was represented by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The 2017 FIU football season will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 2, when the Panthers travel to Orlando, Florida, to take on the UCF Knights.
FIU's 2017 schedule is highlighted with games against Boca Raton Bowl and 2016 C-USA champion WKU, Popeyes Bahamas Bowl champion Old Dominion, AutoNation Cure Bowl participant UCF, Foster Farms Bowl participant Indiana, Hawai'i Bowl participant Middle Tennessee and Gildan New Mexico Bowl participant UTSA. In addition, the Panthers will face Rice, Charlotte, Marshall and Florida Atlantic as well as first-time opponents Alcorn State and Tulane.
