2009 (Sophomore): Despite being limited by nagging injuries, led the team with 57 catches, 632 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions… returned 22 kicks for a team-best 633 yards and an average of 28.8, the highest in FIU history… ran the bal six times for 49 yards… his 57 catches are the third-highest single-season total in FIU history…moved into fourth-place on career-receiving yards list with 1,645 and fifth place in career-receptions with 98… moved into second-place on FIU’s career kickoff return yardage list with 1,474… opened the season with a 96-yard kickoff return for touchdown against Alabama (9/12), marking the second year in a row that he has scored on his first touch of the season… also caught five passes for 40 yards against the Crimson Tide… set a career-high at the time with nine catches against Rutgers (9/19), going for 80 yards and a pair of scores… caught nine balls against Toledo (9/26) for a season-best 126 yards and one touchdown… tied an FIU record and set a career-best with 11 catches against ULM (10/3), racking up 117 yards and one touchdown… caught a 31-yard pass against WKU (10/10) before suffering the injury that hindered him for the rest of the season… had six receptions or 44 yards against Troy (10/17)… caught three passes for 24 yards against Arkansas State (10/24)…  was in for just one kickoff return against Louisiana (10/31), and didn’t have a catch, breaking a streak of 18 consecutive games with at least one reception… caught two passes for 33 yards against Middle Tennessee (11/7)… had four receptions and one score against North Texas (11/14)… hauled in four passes for 75 yards against Florida (11/21)… closed out the season with three receptions for 28 yards against Florida Atlantic (12/5).

Miami Springs High School: Considered by many to be the best athlete in Dade County...nominated for Dade County’s Athlete of the Year...two-sport star (basketball) selected as a Miami Herald First Team All-Dade in football this year and First Team All-Dade in basketball as a junior...FSWA 6A Second Team All-State pick...averaged 18.7/catch as a senior, totaling 785 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns and also had four touchdowns on returns in 10 games...led Dade County with eight interceptions as a sophomore to go along with 650 receiving yards...was injured most of his junior year...four-year starter in basketball...recruited by Ole Miss, West Virginia and Florida.
