Four FIU men's soccer players were honored with All-Conference USA selections, the conference announced Thursday. Steven Jair Cabas, Sebastian Frings and Anthony Hobbs were named to the All-Conference Third Team, while Bruno Barbosa was named to the All-Academic team. Frings and Hobbs were also voted onto the All-Freshman team.

Jair Cabas has had a bounce-back season for FIU, scoring six goals and dishing out five assists to place second on the team with 17 points.

Frings burst onto the scene with one of the best freshman seasons FIU has ever seen, leading the team in goals with 19 and points with 19 as well. His nine goals are the most by a Golden Panthers since John Pulido netted nine in 2003.

Hobbs also had an outstanding season, as he made an immediate impact on FIU's backline in just his first year with the Golden Panthers. Hobbs appeared in 15 matches, all of them starts.

Barbosa appeared in 11 matches this season, starting seven of them. He has maintained a 3.53 GPA while majoring in mechanical engineering.

The Golden Panthers finished the season 6-10-1 and 1-6-1 in conference play.
