Women's Golf Stays Put for Fourth Place Finish at Pat Bradley Invitational

FT. MYERS, Fla. - The FIU women's golf team finished fourth at the 32nd Pat Bradley Invitational at the Pelican Preserve and Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Panthers, who compiled a team score of 883 (19-over-par), trailed the leader, Furman, by 13 strokes.

FIU boasted two golfers and an individual competitor in the top 10. Paula Hurtado and Lauren Blease tied for eighth along with Monica Miller by shooting a 218 each.

Hurtado shot a 1-over 73 in her final round to creep up the standings and Blease held on with a 2-over 74 while Miller shot a 75.

Christina Marin had the biggest jump of the Golden Panthers, moving from 36th to 27th in the standings after chipping in a 74 to finish with a 225 overall. Nikki Dunn rounded out the group with 249.

Yolecci Jimenez, who also competedas an individual, sank her best round of the tournament (74) to finish the invitational with a 232.

FIU concluded the fall season and will return to the greens on Feb. 15 at the College of Charleston Spring Classic in Kiawah Island, S.C.
