FIU Versus UCF Football Game Moved to Friday, Sept. 6; To Air on CBS Sports Network

IRVING, Texas (June 5, 2013) – The FIU football game versus the UCF Knights has been moved to Friday, Sept. 6, and will air on CBS Sports Network, Conference USA announced today. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m.

The home-opener is the first of five televised games, as part of the league’s current TV agreement. Below is a listing of those games.

Friday, Sept. 6; UCF at FIU (CBS SN); 8 p.m. ET
Saturday, Oct. 5; FIU at Southern Miss (CSS); TBA
Saturday, Oct. 12; UAB at FIU (CSS); TBA
Saturday, Nov. 23; Marshall at FIU (FOX); TBA
Friday, Nov. 29; FIU at FAU (FOX); 3 p.m. ET

Additional game times and network coverage will be announced at a later date. Conference USA’s national television partners are Fox Sports Media Group and CBS Sports Network for regular season games.  The league’s ninth annual Championship Game, pitting the champions of the East and West Divisions, is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7 and will be televised by ESPN or ESPN 2.

The Panthers’ season-opener at Maryland will also be broadcast as part of the ACC Regional Sports Network and can been seen on ESPN3. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m.

FIU fans have a good possibility in seeing five of FIU’s first six games, and seven overall regular season games, televised in 2013 as non-conference opponent Louisville (American) is still finalizing home television arrangements.

Also announced on Wednesday is the game time for the Sept. 14 contest versus Bethune-Cookman. FIU will host the Wildcats at 6 p.m.
