Hello World Too

Not too many surprises in FIU football's first regular season depth chart that was released today.

The offensive line is just about made up of the same guys that have lined up with the first team this month with the exception of Delmar Taylor ahead of Jordan Budwig at left guard. Left to right on the line are LT - David Delsoin, LG - Taylor, C- Donald Senat, RG - Jordan White, RT - Aaron Nielsen.

As expected from camp, Cory White and Jonnu Smith are listed as the top two tight ends. Both are excellent receivers and blockers.

There are a plethora of receivers listed on the two-deep with Clinton Taylor, De'Andre Jasper, Dominique Rhymes and T.J. Lowder among the top four receivers.

Shane Coleman and Lamarq Caldwell are listed as the top two running backs. CLICK HERE for a story on Caldwell and how he has thrived in the pro-style offense after struggling in the spread.

Sergio Sroka appears to have won the kicking job while Chris Ayers is the punter and Brandon Taylor is the long snapper. Zach Schaubhut, a former quarterback at Air Force, as the holder is a great move.

On defense, Michael Wakefield (photo above) passed Paul Crawford for one starting defensive end job. Denzell Perine starts for Giovani Francois at the other end. Francois will miss the game with injury but is expected back for Central Florida next Friday.

The listed starting linebackers are Luis Rosado, Markeith Russell and Davison Colimon. But you figure talented freshman Treyvon Williams will play as well.

Sam Miller is at one corner and Brad Hyman-Muhammad or Jeremiah McKinnon is at the other as Richard Leonard takes care of off the field stuff. Justin Halley and Demarkus Perkins are the starting safeties as expected.

On the next blog, we'll start looking at Maryland with 5 Questions and the ever-popular "The Other Game".
